Getting Started with Green Home Building and Construction

Initial Communication

At our first contact, we'll ask you questions about the general square footage you have in mind, your budget expectations and any location info that you know at that time. This will give us a basic understanding of the general scope of the project so that we can determine how best to help you.

First Meeting

We'll schedule a first meeting with you of approximately 1½ to 2 hours during which time we will discuss your project at length. We'll ask you a wide range of questions about your lifestyle and what you hope to achieve. We encourage you to collect any photos, sketches and other plans to share with us at this meeting. Feel free to discuss anything that comes to mind and ask questions freely. There is no fee for this initial consultation.

Initiating Work

If after this meeting you are prepared to move forward, we will provide you with copies of our contractual paperwork for your review. This will include our Pre-Construction Agreement and our Residential Construction Contract.

The Pre-Construction Agreement is the only document we will need up front in order to proceed and provides for the preliminary professional work needed prior to construction, including preliminary architectural design, engineering and surveying, interior design and construction documents including specifications and preliminary cost analysis.

Initial Fees

Fees for the services provided under the Pre-Construction Agreement are considered deposits toward construction and are credited toward the final construction contract price. The fees are based on the scope of project and vary from job to job.
