With over 20 years of experience, Lone Star Custom
Homes has designed and built a wide variety of home styles in a
wide range of sizes.
All have their
own unique needs and particulars. From precise and formal Federals
and Colonials, to the old-world Tuscan to contemporary,
our architectural background and knowledge makes us unique
among Design/Build organizations.
We are strong advocates of Green and Eco-friendly construction
with an emphasis on a Healthy Home environment. We believe
that building
the right way is the responsible thing to do.
Preliminary Design and Pricing
Once we receive your signed Pre-Construction Agreement
and deposit, we will begin the design process. Over the next 3-4
months we will be producing preliminary design sketches. We
will schedule periodic design meetings with you
to review the plan in progress and receive feedback from you. Long
distance communication is not a
problem;
email and overnight mail work just fine. In addition to discussing
the general house design, we will also be discussing the
interior design to help determine selections and finishes for costing
purposes.
Construction Documents
Once we have an accepted design and budget, we
will then provide you with a Home Construction Contract, Specifications,
and a
final cost. These Construction Documents are very comprehensive
and detailed
and represent our construction commitment to you for the
project. Using a fixed fee or a cost plus contract, we
are now ready to
finalize the Construction Contract
and to begin construction.
